MK March Message Book Cover Graphic

Hi guys,

I wanted Michelle to receive the book before I posted the graphic that I made of the cover for the book of messages Heather was going to give to Michelle. I think we used the second version, but my favorite is the third.

Let me know what you guys think. Sorry that the picture is so huge, but I wanted it to be the highest quality when Heather printed it out. And I'm too lazy to resave them again :D

And yes, they're quite similar to my sig because Heather wanted me to create something like it... it was rather painful actually since my creative juices have not been flowing for a long long time.

Thanks for sharing Grace!!! They all are so beautiful! You clearly have talent for making all of these! I'm so glad that Heather got the book to her, and thanks for the work you put into making the cover!

Grace, thanks for sharing. I would like to know what program you use to do these wonderful graphics, PLEASE. Also are you using high resolution pictures or just some you find on the internet that are usually 72 or 96?

awww.. thanks KwanPassion. You should have seen me there in the first hour just sitting there, not knowing what to do. I'm glad it turned out okay though.

I don't use high resolution photos - I just use photos that were found on the internet. Sometimes the pictures are pretty good quality themselves but not in high quality, or I get lucky and the pictures are just beautiful and in high resolution. I think they tend to be 72 pixels/inch (I think?)

I use Adobe Photoshop... the best program for graphics, imo.

Grace, thanks for the info. I use Adobe Photoshop too and I agree it is the best out there but how do you get those wonderful swirls. I would love to figure that out. I have no formal training in the program just learned it from the books I have picked up. If you don't mind a few hints I would love the help.

Katty, I actually used brushes to create the swirls (if you're speaking of the ones on the top) If you search "Adobe Photoshop Brushes" into google, you can find many sites that offer free brushes. They're really fun to use, but lol, as with anything, don't go overboard with them. Balance is key : ) You can even create your own brushes. I'd do that if I weren't so lazy. There are tutorials that explain how to make your own.
