I thought I read there was a Metro Express Bus that goes non-stop from BWI to the Greenfield Metro Station in DC where you can take the subway to Dupont Circle, but I went looking for it and didn't see it. I know there are Amtrak and MARC trains, but MARC trains only run Mon-Fri. Amtrak can be pricey.
Who's flying into BWI and how are you getting to DC from the Airport?
Is there a bus that can take people from BWI to DC?

The bus is mentioned in the Washington Post's guide to BWI. (It doesn't mention van-type shuttles, which I know are also available, though I'm not sure how much they cost. Prob'ly 1/3-1/2 of cab fare?)

Getting There
* By train: Both Amtrak and MARC trains travel from Union Station and New Carrollton to the BWI Rail Station, where a free shuttle bus connects you to the airport.
Amtrak runs from 5:05 a.m. until 10:45 p.m. from Union Station and departs from New Carrollton nine minutes later. Return service from BWI starts at 5:20 a.m. and ends at 11:32 p.m. The trip is 25 minutes to/from Union Station and 15 minutes to/from New Carrollton. $23 each way from Union Station, $22 from New Carrollton. Info: 800-872-7245, www.amtrak.com (http://www.amtrak.com).
MARC trains depart Monday through Friday nearly hourly; no weekend or holiday service. Service from Union Station is 6:05 a.m. to 10:15 p.m.; from New Carrollton, 6:16 a.m. to 10:26 p.m.; from BWI, 5:07 a.m. to 8:57 p.m. The trip takes 35 minutes. Cost is $5 one way, $8.75 round trip. Info: 800-325-7245, www.mtamaryland.com (http://www.mtamaryland.com).
* By subway/bus: The BWI Express bus (No. B30) runs nonstop from the Greenbelt Metro station on the Green Line to BWI's Concourse E. Buses depart Greenbelt every 40 minutes from 6:10 a.m. weekdays/8:40 a.m. weekends until 10 p.m. daily. $2 each way. Info: 202-637-7000, www.wmata.com (http://www.wmata.com).
* By taxi: Fares are about $55 one way from downtown Washington and $65 from Bethesda, $62 from Reagan National and $90 from Dulles International Airport.
I see it's also on BWI's web page:

Pamby,
Be sure to put aside some space for a drink that I want to buy you at the dinner or at an event. Do they sell beer at the MCI during this event?? You have been so helpfull. I thought there was an express bus and your post confirms it.
Thanks. :)

I was going to fly into BWI and found flights working better to my time table going into Ronald Reagan. This was on the computer research list tonight!
Thanks Pamby!

Hi Dave,
I went on to the metro website, and they have this thing called the Ride Guide. I entered in my time schedule and it told me which bus to take to get to the Green Line Metro at Greenbelt.
I'm getting in on Thursday at around 4:00pm and it tells me to catch the B30 bus at Pier E Lower Level and it gives you price, schedules and everything. Here is the link for the metro. Hope it works out for you
