I am hoping that someone on this board, who lives in DC, could help me. My mom and I are flying into Baltimore airport and would like to know the easiest and most economical way to get from the airport to the Henley Park Hotel at Mt. Vernon Square. Is a taxi the best idea, or should we try the bus system there? I would really appreciate any information or advice that someone could give me. Thanks much!!

BWi has shuttles that leave the airport on a regular basis and take you pretty much anyway you want to go call 1-800-BLUE VAN (258-3826) or you can arrange for taxi by calling (410) 859-1100 a taxi will run approx. $50. I would suggest taking the shutle it's very convenient and will take you to DC (not sure how close to your hotel) and take you back to BWI. Hope that helps.

See the thread started by Dave Sato on getting from DC to BWI, on a later page of this Event Info forum.

Have you asked the hotel? They may have a shuttle from the airport, and certainly can tell you the best way to get there, if not.

On weekdays, the MARC trains run from BWI to Union Station in DC about once an hour, more in rush hour. It takes about a half hour and costs around $5 one way.

I am leaving this afternoon for DC. I went to the metro website and they will map the route from airport to hotel. I found this very helpful. You just plug in the airport to the hotel and it will give a few options.

I also did from hotel to MCI. It is great as it is very specific!

Yea! Thank you all very much. Yes, we did talk to the hotel and they suggested a taxi, but I had read around here somewhere that taxis are done by zone and could be confusing. I have checked the metro site and I am working on the mapping of our route. I had just thought that someone here might give me some inside tips for getting around, and I appreciate the help very much. I will also go look for that thread. Thanks again!!
