Hi all. Should we meet up before (maybe for dinner somewhere) or afterwards?

Who knows what's around?

Hi Mike ... kwanette and I will be arriving early in the day,so maybe we can check out the area for a place to meet. What time are you coming in?

yankgrl and I are also coming in pretty early, but I'm not sure when yet. She has a morning class and then will be meeting me in the city sometime in the afternoon. I don't know about her, but I'm definitely up for dinner someplace! (I know there are some great restaurants just across the sound in Port Jeff. Ferry ride, anyone? ;) :b )

The only time I went to this arena, I went straight there so I don't know what is around too well. The arena, the baseball field and the parking lots are sort of off to themselves as you exit the highway. I think the town of Bridgeport is on the other side of the highway, although I don't think anything is too far away. It's just that the arena is by the highway overpasses so it's not like it's on a street in a downtown area like Madison Square Garden or MCI. However, I didn't have a good chance to look around so maybe there is a place not too far away that would be convenient.

scher...My luck the ferry would sink and I would miss Michelle.>: ...There are restaurants in the Holiday Inn...Let me check out the restaurant site for Bridgeport...Is the show at 7? I want to get to the arena early and sniff out a Carmen or two with yankgrl...

I'm driving up early as well, so yes it sounds like a good idea to me. But I've never been to this arena before so I don't know the area.

I am driving up in the morning and would love to meet the MKF guys again.

I am staying at the Holiday Inn and was told they have a good restaurant there.

kwanette -- lol i was only kidding anyway. i think the ride is way too long just for dinner. since yankgrl and googoo and i are also staying at the holiday inn, that might not be a bad place to eat.

any luck finding anything else anyone? (yes yes, any any any any..........methinks i need some sleep....)

I found the following link for Restaurant is CT.

connecticutrestaurants.co...town01.htm (http://connecticutrestaurants.com/restaurants/bytown01.htm)

Just scroll down to Bridgeport. Lots of choices. Something for evey taste.

Park 1070 is the restaurant in Holiday Inn. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also they recommend two restaurants within a few blocks - Tollgate Steakhouse and Ralph & Rich's (Continental). Both are open for lunch and dinner.

I, unfortunately, eat anything.
