Thanks for starting this thread! There are also senior skaters competing at Triglav Trophy, but none are from the USA. All the USA skaters are competing internationally (outside of North America) for the first time.

You're welcome! I wasn't sure whether to put this in Spoilers or Skating Chat. Anyone know if it's going to be on TV?

I don't believe it is going to be televised in the US and thank you for the link.

This is huge for Danielle Shepard,to come straight from US Novice silver to Triglav Junior gold. Now all 4 of the USFSA's 2004 Novice ladies' medalists have won a post nats international medal.Must be a strong class.:eek

Danielle must've had one heckuva free skate--she was 5th in the SP.

I've heard informally that Danielle Shepard wasn't at her best in the free, but since the skaters above her after the short reportedly didn't skate well (the first place Russian girl dropped to 5th in the FS, for example), and some of the skaters below her after the short did, but couldn't catch up, she was able to win (this is a pretty common scenario for junior competitions, actually!) -- but a win is a win! :) I've heard that the novice ladies FS was a little messy as well, but it's great that Cara and Megan were able to win medals at their first novice international! BTW, Douglas Razzano was 5th in novice at Nationals, so his junior gold medal at Triglav is also an impressive feat!
