The USFS girls have so far dominated the newest JGP Series. Juliana Cannarozzo and Ashley Wagner already own 2 titles each and Caroline Zhang is an odds on favourite to win her 2nd title this weekend. Beatrisa Liang had a big win at the Nebelhorn where she trounced her opponents. Daneille Kahle is doing very well at the Karl Schaefer Memorial. ...... and the big GPs haven't even started yet.
The tradition lives on.

How true Mike! Even though there are only a handful likely to make the World team (Meissner, Taylor, Hughes, Liang, Czisny), there are a ton of talented girls poised to threaten for the top in the coming years.
You mentioned Cannarozzo, but then there's Oster, Kahle, Hyatt, Flatt, Zukowski, and Williams-Stewart. Not to mention the other relatively unknown new seniors: Katrina Hacker, Taylor Firth, Molly Oberstar, Becky Hughes....
And then a few staying in juniors this year (Ashley Wagner, Caroline Zhang...)
The US should definitely have contenders for years to come...

Just got back from class....I'll go into a little more depth about the skaters since many may not know of them (anyone is welcome to add any info that I missed...Mike? Sylvia? :))
**Cannarozzo: 2 JGP gold medals, will be in the JGP Final
**Oster: defeated Yukari Nakano at Skate Detroit in the freeskate, JGP silver medal
**Kahle: Silver medal at the Karl Schaefer Memorial (80 points in the FS, second to Elene Gedevanishvili of Georgia)
**Hyatt: 2006 US Junior champ, JGP silver medal
**Rachael Flatt: 05 Novice champ, 06 Junior silver medalist, won a number of club comps this summer, had to withdraw from the JGP because of back pain, won her qualifying group with 93 points at Southwestern Regionals
**Zukowski: 6th at 2006 US Nationals, reigning World Junior bronze medalist, has 2 senior GP assignments
**Williams-Stewart: defeated Julia Sebestyen at the Ondrej Nepala Trophy, had some good results at a few club competitions this summer
**Hacker: 5th at a JGP this season (but won the short program)

Danielle Kahle has won the silver medal at the Karl Schaefer Memorial. The numbers for Kahle and Gedevanishvili weren't all that high, but still.... Kahle owns a senior international medal.I was actually pulling for the Georgia girl.
I am hoping for a great GP series. A new & improved Liang would be cool.:)

Kahle's technical (TES) scores wre actually higher than Gedevanishvili's, in both the SP and the LP. Gedevanishvili just edged her out in the PCS (her win was by a couple of points, that's all), despite having built up a solid reputation last season (Europeans, Olympics, Worlds) while Kahle was relatively anonymous at her first senior international. This could bode well for Kahle, but she does seem to start her seasons strong and then get weaker as the season pregresses.
If Oster and Bulanhagui do well at the last JGP next week, the US could potentially have five of the eight ladies finalists at the JGP. Depending on the other girls' placements (particularly the Korean and the two Japanese), they could potentially both make the final with a top-five finish in Liberec.
