This is in response to the varying opinions on the color of Michelle's "Hands" costume and its relation to her skin tone. I have noticed that these pastel colors are very sensitive to slight discrepancies in the color balance generated by color film processing as well as in color TV signals. The color on various screen captures as shown on my computer monitor range from a warm beige to a sickly cyanotic gray. If the TV signal and the viewer's TV set or monitor are both maladjusted, the final view could suffer a double whammy. I think the costume looks beautiful in good photographs that have been posted so far. I have no quarrel with different opinions. Keith

I think that the Hands costume colour is very pretty...but I don't think it suits MK's skin perfectly!!!...BUT I do think that the colour was so nice for the program!!!...it's very soft!!! Now also...ya know...I think that dress enhanced MK's line and extension!!! Very attractive!!!

It's a grayish beige on my TV AND computer. But no matter the shading, it's a color Michelle should avoid. It's completely wrong for her skin tone.

I think the color looks beautiful on MK. I love the design as well.

I just said that beige looks good with asian skin, but I wasn't really specific. For darker asian skin (i.e. filipinos) it wouldn't look really good. Michelle's skin is that dark too, however, with makeup, her tights, and the effect that being on ice gives her skin, she appears to have light skin, and it suits her perfectly....honestly, with no Michelle-bias.:)

I didn't care for the costume or its color as much as so many of her other (beautiful) recent costumes. I don't care for flesh color on anyone, really... I prefer the costume for KY!

esp. in that picture MK doing the sprial that had many people going OOOOO looks stunning :-) A GOOD stunning! It has the same effect that One More Time dress where someone said it made Michelle look like a lumnious vase. If I didn't like her so darn much I would hate her for looking so gorgeous!!! This pic HERE I can't help but think of the "Don't hate me because I am beautiful" commericals that used to be on TV ;-Þ

Actually, I don't much care for the color either. I agree that it's not a good color for anyone. It would be like seeing a very pale person wearing light peach. It just doesn't go. But I love the cut, it's very flattering on her.

but the Hands dress has grown on me. When I first saw it, I wasn't too fond of the color either, but the more I see it, the better I like it. Shallah, the "don't hate me because I'm beautiful" commercial DOES seem to fit here, doesn't it! LOL

I've been watching the video under the "Sports" settings on my TV set. Makes everything brighter with vibrant colors 'cause it's set for Arena lights, Stadium Lights that kind of thing for Pro-Sports. So at first MK's costume came across a very peachy beige. Now that I adjusted it so everybody's skin coloring looks normal, it's more of a shimmering beige color. On some pics from my computer, the colors ranged from grayish peach to grayish beige depending on the pic. It's not the most flattering of colors on her, but I think she didn't want her costume to detract from her interpretation of the program. It's definitely understated, elegant, and fit like a second skin. If I had a body like that... Anywho, Shallah, I still love that pic 'cause that second necklace she wears is just too interesting for words!!! I hope she tells us a bit about it in Japan Open or maybe the commentators can mention why she's wearing it. Could be a bubble bursting event for me.
