Gadahn delivered a lecture on Islam and the "errors" in Christianity and Judaism. He also said the United States is losing the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and told U.S. soldiers they are fighting President Bush's "crusades."
"Instead of killing yourself for Bush ... why not surrender to the truth (of Islam), escape from the unbelieving army and join the winning side. Time is running out so make the right choice before it's too late," he said.
http://apnews.myway.com/article/20060903/D8JT50S01.html
He denounced Christianity as a "hollow shell of a religion, whose followers cling to an empty faith and a false conviction in their own salvation."
"It is time for the unbelievers to discard these incoherent and illogical beliefs," he said. "We invite all Americans and other unbelievers to Islam, wherever they are."

It would be nice not to confound the Bush bashers and the Muslim extremists.I don't like Bush but I don't have anything in common with Ben Laden.Thank you.

Well, I am a lifelong member of the MSM, and I personally know hundreds of editors, reporters and photojournalists in the MSM, in cities from New York to Chicago to Seattle, and I can't think of a single person who has converted to Islam. The vast majority of us were raised Christian and have stayed Christian. Some were raised Jewish and have stayed Jewish. A few are of other religions, or don't follow an organized religion. Yes, there are also some Muslims at these papers, but they are generally African-American Muslims (with zero ties to the Al Quaida brand of Islam).
A catchphrase like the one quoted above isn't even remotely true. It in fact is ignorant and irresponsible.

Thanks Moxie for this post.Seems like most people can't make the difference between a Bush opponent, a peaceful Muslim and an Al Quaida member these days.It is very worrying.I guess claiming all the BMSN members are future terrorists is a plan to prevent people from protesting when they desire to.

Pianofan, I believe most people can make the difference. Its only the fanatical GOP members that seem to want to follow the Rove rule of attacking those who criticize him and this administration, critics who also include some GOP moderates i.e. Hagel, Specter.
Rove and his cronies like Rumsfeld like to describe the critics as appeasers. One might describe Rumsfeld and Bush's latest rants as similar to those of Hitler who certainly did not want anyone criticizing his policies.Oh but wait, we are not suppose to compare Bush to Hitler right?? yet it seems okay to doubt the patriotism of those who finally see the real truth, not Bush's truth, and bring it to the forefront.

Wow...Islamic Fundamentalists want people to convert to Islam and think that's the answer to the world's problems??? Unbelievable. Imagine a religion that tries to shove its beliefs on others and thinks everyone should convert. Thank goodness we don't have Christians who are like that!!!
Now, if you'll excuse me, the Assembly of God people from the church down the street are at the door with some tracts, and the Mormon missionaries from the apartment downstairs want to talk with me, too. I'll get back to this later.

yesterday, i was sitting on a bench, enjoying my day, loving life, and having a quiet conversation with a dear friend of mine. my life is good, i am happy. all of a sudden, 2 ladies in their 70's, approached us and interrupted our conversation, wanted us to to discuss and get us to embrace the church of the latter day saints. it was just plain rude. my day had been just fine without them butting into my private time that way. rather than be rude in return, i took the advice of another friend of mine and told them i practiced the teachings of Buddha, even though i don't. he told me usually, they don't know how to respond because they haven't studied it and don't understand it. i don't know if it was the case, but one lady persisted, "where do you study THAT here?" my friend with me, who has no religious affiliation either, chimed in with the name of a town (i shook my head to confirm it) and my friend said, "i'm not anything but if i were, that is what i would practice too." my friend and i had never discussed this, but it was great to have my buddy play off my response.
by this point, i was having a hard time keeping a straight face because these 2 ladies stood there, stunned. after a few seconds, they realized they weren't getting anywhere and left. we watched as the ascended the stairs of the home across the street and started knocking on the door-obviously, they thought it ok to intrude on everybody's labor day holiday and private time. not...

I don't feel I'm wasting my time. It's a genuine question. I would like to know what Left-leaners are anti-semitic, so I can educate myself and, if so warranted, write a response. Dec5, I meant my question with sincerity. Can you tell me of whom you speak?

hmmmm....I've converted from Chanel to Shiseido....found my outer and inner peace from the East. I've also converted from Nine West to Clarks, Seibels, and Naturalizer. As i get older, I'd rather be able to walk the path upright in comfort. Explored Franco Sarto, Jimmy Choo and Manolo, all sucks IMO, can't walk the path with them. As I matured, I also converted from Express and Gap to Banana Republic. Also converted from AOL to broadband.
That's enough conversion for me for now.

Anti Semitism on the Left:
Today we can see a New Anti-Semitism rising without shame, spilling out in university campuses all over the Western world. Even Cindy Sheehan, as she fades from sight, managed to blame the Jews. Leftwing anti-Semitism has been building for a long time, but it is now coming to a boil. The flames are being whipped up by Islamist propaganda, in open alliance with fascists like George Galloway.

Anti-Israel remarks of Galloway:

Cindy, Repudiate Your Anti-Semitic Remarks
Submitted by programmablelamp on Wed, 08/17/2005 - 3:34pm. Cindy Sheehan and Camp Casey, Aug. 2005
Be for peace and justice for all! Israel did not kill your son! America is worth dying for! We mourn your son, but that is no excuse for anti-Semitism.
"[My son] was killed for a neo-con agenda that only benefits a very chosen few in this world. This agenda and their war machine will chew up and spit out as many of our children as they can unless we stop them now. We should not let Israel/USA invade Syria or Iran."
"You get America out of Iraq and Israel out of Palestine and you’ll stop the terrorism."
"Could my son be dead because of an evil-neo con Pax Americana agenda?"
"Am I emotional? Yes, my first born was murdered. Am I angry? Yes, he was killed for lies and for a PNAC Neo-Con agenda to benefit Israel."
"My son joined the Army to protect America, not Israel."
"Am I stupid? No, I know full-well that my son, my family, this nation, and this world were betrayed by a George Bush who was influenced by the neo-con PNAC agenda after 9/11."
“George Bush and his neo-conservatives killed my son/ America has been killing people on this continent since it was started. This country is not worth dying for.”

What is a Neo-Con?
The result is a classical portrait of 'neo-con' (read: Jewish) advisors, who drip poison in the ears of their hapless gentile bosses, while they advance their global plot to subvert true American interests and take over the world--and, as Ms. Dowd is always quick to point out . . . thereby 'advance the strategic goals of Israel.' Much has been made by his far left opponents of Lieberman's willingness to play the hands-across-The-Chasm Douglas and Nixon roles. Yet the confluence of Israel's recent vulnerabilities mixed in with the battle for Iraq has suddenly -- or not so suddenly? -- drawn anti-Semitic venom. Is it a surprise that Lamont has accepted campaign help from Jessie "Hymietown" Jackson or Al Sharpton, the latter of whom has made a career railing against "diamond merchants"? All of this while Israel is fighting for its very life against opponents who use "ceasefire accords" as nothing more than rest stops on the way to killing more Jews?

Anti Semitism in the UN:
October 30, 2000
WIESENTHAL CENTER PROTESTS U.N. ANTI-ISRAEL SENTIMENT TO HIGH COMMISSIONER FOR HUMAN RIGHTS; OFFERS TO SHARE DATA ON ANTISEMITIC ACTS OF VIOLENCE
In a letter to U.N. Human Rights Commissioner, Mary Robinson, the Simon Wiesenthal Center protested the resolution on the Violations of Human Rights of the Palestinian People as "proof that a fundamental anti-Israel partiality, prejudice and blackmail is still prevalent in the United Nations system."
The letter continued, "Indeed, it is the human rights record of the dictatorships that drafted this resolution that should be grounds for the attention of your Commission. Yet, it appears that the Commission you head is apparently held hostage by those anti-democratic forces."

Unfortunately anti-semites have found their way on the Left and the UN.....it is sadly true.

The Left's Anti-Semitic Chic
By George Will

http://www.jewishworldreview.com | It used to be said that anti-Catholicism was the anti-Semitism of the intellectuals. Today anti-Semitism is the anti-Semitism of the intellectuals.
Not all intellectuals, of course. And the seepage of this ancient poison into the intelligentsia — always so militantly modern — is much more pronounced in Europe than here. But as anti-Semitism migrates across the political spectrum from right to left, it infects the intelligentsia, which has leaned left for two centuries.
Here the term intellectual is used loosely, to denote not only people who think about ideas — about thinking — but also people who think they do. The term anti-Semitism is used to denote people who dislike Jews. These people include those who say: We do not dislike Jews, we only dislike Zionists — although to live in Israel is to endorse the Zionist enterprise, and all Jews are implicated, as sympathizers, in the crime that is Israel.
Among left-wing thinkers, the favoured recasting of Hitler's Final Solution deflects the spotlight from the wartime destruction of European Jewry to the postwar travails of the Palestinians. In this perversion, Israel -- attacked by the Arabs in five wars since its founding in 1948 and still under constant terrorist barrage -- is no longer the haven for Hitler's Survivors, but the perpetrator of "ethnic cleansing," "apartheid" and abundant other slanders. Meanwhile, the atrocities committed by Arab suicide bombers are passed over lightly as the desperate acts of "militants" driven to rage by Israeli cruelty. While it is still fashionable for European leaders to shed a tear for the victims of Auschwitz, they are dry-eyed when it comes to the mass murders of those victims' offspring.

Here is more stuff:
The report warns against the growth of a "new anti-Semitism" that transfers the traditional stereotypes about Jews to Israel, as a Zionist state. "We heard evidence that contemporary anti-Semitism in Britain is now more commonly found on the left of the political spectrum than on the right."

The soldier squared his shoulders and
said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't,
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough,
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep,
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear,
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here,
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord,
It needn't be so grand,
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand."
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod,
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.

You're right Krista, but I suspect they are not far off from the general American population which would be most. Whether you think you're religion should be in your politics or not, most Americans on both sides of the aisle, are actually Christian. Though many love to paint the left as Satan worshippers for their respect of the Constitution.

Yeah, I mean if I labeled myself as any religion, it would most likely be christian, just because thats the closest to my beliefs, but I know PLENTY of christians, especially in the south, that wouldn't stand up and fight for the right to criticize them.

You are very right. There are many many soldiers who are Jewish and Muslim. There are also soldiers or are Wiccan, Witches and Asatru who are just barely allowed to practice their religions. In fact there are fallen Wicca who have been refused their final request to have pentacles on their headstones just as Christian, Muslim and Jewish soldiers are allowed sybols of their religions on theirs. How much respect does that show to an American soldier that has given his or her life for this country?
