This is so random but i was just thinking this evening......it seems that maybe Frank is the one thats bad luck, not michelle. I was just thinking that when i read edge of glory this summer that it talked about when he coached linda fratianne (sp?) she was the worlds best going into the olympics and got robbed of the gold. Hmm sounds familiar to me!! Just to let you know i love frank and think he is the absolute best.....i guess im just bored and im just thinking of things to entertain myself.

Hi dpierce. I was at Nationals for the first time. It was a great experience. Just to let you know -- Frank is not jinxed. MK could not have progressed and developed like she has without her coach, her parents and her choreographer -- she'd probably be the first to acknowledge that. You need to read up on your figure skating history. Linda Fratianne lost the gold at the Olympics in 1980 to a mediocre European skater (who's name I forget), simply because of international politics. Fratianne had triples, spark, great performance ability and a great coach in Frank Carroll. Unfortunately, back then, when you came in second (when you were a contender for the gold) it was like losing (there were hardly any professional skating opportunities or lucrative endorsement contracts like those that are available today to high profile skaters). Hope this gives you a little insight. I think the media needs to back off on criticizing Kwan so much. She's the best skater in the world -- every skater in the ladies field has learned from her and/or tried to emulate her. Like Heiss Jenkins says, and we all should realize, MK is human, she is not a machine. I admire her so much for not caving in to media criticism and putting a triple flip into her short program just because they say (or get others to say) she should.

Hi Luvmk, did you have a good time? Did you get to see Michelle? Have a safe trip home.

Thanks for your reply... I am glad you had a wonderful time at nationals. Just to let you know i would never want michelle to be with another coach. I was simply trying to make fun of all of the people out there that try to put a not perfect skate to something of the supernatural. I am totaly in aggrement with you and hope this clears up any misunderstanding. :-)

We are all MK fans, I think we should stop reading into things because it will all resort to a misunderstanding. LuvMK, I know that you are an MK fan, so are we, but I think that it was uncalled for you to respond to Dpierce in such harsh tone. It was uncalled for and I think you should apologize to her.

Random, what was so harsh about LuvMK's comments? She(?) was just stating the obvious and imo in a pleasant way. And btw, if Frank was jinxed Michelle wouldn't be the 4- time anything!

I don't think Frank is jinxed.....I think he's gotten a god blessed miracle in his hands by being able to coach Michelle, the most decorated female figure skater ever....I just feel kinda bad for him because he seems to be getting old, and lol, Michelle said 2006 I thought he was gonna die laughing. Poor guy's gonna have to attend THAT olympics with his walker!! lol ok of course I'm just kidding....but I DO think that Michelle winning Silver at Nagano was the best thing that ever happened for her and for figure skating.....she's gotten SO MUCH recognition, she's developed so much...blah blah blah you've all heard it all before I'll shut up now lol and once again..thats just my 2 cents
