Custom title for Michelle

Wow, so cool that Michelle posted again! I couldn't help but think though that the "Hi, I'm New!" under her name just wasn't quite right. I mean, it's like Michelle's been here from Day One, right? No Michelle, no forum. But on the other hand, it's kinda nice to be called "new" when you consider all those sportswriters who keep calling her "old"!! :lol

Anyway, just for fun, what are some Custom Titles better suited for Michelle? Instead of "Hi, I'm New!" how about....

Hi, I'm the best! (hmm, too obvious huh?) :p

Cool idea, Emmy! I like everyone's thoughts. My main concerns are that it should be something Michelle is totally comfortable with (which I think would rule out the flattering ones, since she's pretty humble), and that it let newbies know that it's really Michelle posting. Therefore, I prefer the ideas of "it's really me!" and the like. :)

BTW, at her board, Louann Donovan's custom title is simply "herself", which makes the point too, lol.

I think that we should compile this list of custom titles and let Michelle choose between them. Include them all (except for maybe the ones mentioning other skaters), just so Michelle can see them. We know she probably wouldn't pick them, but at least she'd know what we thought, if she didn't already:lol

I agree that logistically it makes sense to give Michelle a custom title. If she continues to post, which we all hope she does, somewhere down the road there are going to be new posters confused and doubting if it's really her.

While I like some of the suggestions, I believe that some of them would make Michelle seem arrogant. She is humble about everything she has accomplished. Michelle is also respectful towards her competitors.

I think that if Michelle gets a custom title, she or her management should choose it rather than her fans. We do mean the very best but I do not want to misrepresent Michelle.

Something very simple would be fitting, if she wanted a custom title. "I am Michelle" or "The Real Kwan" would say everything itself. Though I do like things like "2006 Olympic..." its not Michelle, its more us. :)

This is the first time I have opened this thread...this IS just for fun, isn't it?

epoibim, "Shoulda had two" would be me, MK would never say it....she's humble, gracious, etc...I'm not...

My best friend Ann is the most humble person in the world...She is a fabulous teacher...state award winner, etc...kind, talented, etc...She never brags...she is the best...Whenever she leaves a message on my answering machine...or calls me...she ALWAYS says..."It's only me" or "It's just me..."And I ALWAYS say..."It's never JUST you..."

I actually started writing a silly book on skating a few years back...and my title for the MK chapter...was "She's JUST Michelle..."

When people like my friend Ann or Michelle who are so humble, gracious, etc...exist, there really aren't words for them, are there?

So my vote is for..."Just Michelle..."

This thread is great fun and I love the "kicking butt" aspect of some of the titles but, of course, Michelle would never pick one of those for herself! My personal favorite so far is "I put the MK in MKF." Very clever; wish I thought of it.

I think if Michelle were to pick a title for herself she might pick her personal motto: Work hard, have fun, be yourself.

But in the meantime, I think it is great fun for us to dream about what we think she should have! I'm still thinking!
